Front Square Fashion: The Pandemic Remix!

So, the time is upon us yet again and the college year has begun for the majority of us! To the new freshers, welcome to Trinity, a place filled with abundant opportunities, poor communication and fashion! The idea to bring back the Front Square Fashion series was one that the fashion section unanimously decided was necessary, to highlight the incredible style here in Trinity! With things being so different this year, I wanted to see what people were wearing at home, aka our new campus. Without further ado, I present to you, Front Square Fashion: The Pandemic remix!

Ciarán Butler –  Me! (Deputy Fashion Editor)

If there’s one thing to be said at my funeral, it’s that I loved a mirror selfie. I’m wearing an ASOS design cardigan, a New Girl Order T-Shirt, blue jeans and a pair of black Comme Des Garcons converse! I wanted to give you a cute autumn, going for a coffee and reading a book cause I’m a college student vibes, you know? In reality I’m in scrubs 5/7 days a week cause I’m a second year general nursing student but sure look what can you do!

Ursula Dale (Editor-in-Chief)

“I chose this outfit because I love the colours together and the cardigan-as-a-top look. I paired it with a mini skirt to keep the 90s aesthetic going and finished it with white frilly socks and airforce ones as they’re comfy (and match!). Pink is one of my favourite colours to wear personally, and these pieces all fit with others in my wardrobe easily.”

Millie Brennan (Deputy Fashion Editor)

Sometimes, sweats and sneakers just don’t cut it. Wearing a classic LBD paired with an oversized beige blazer and chunky Doc Martens for a day of coffee and zoom calls.”

Oscar Quinn

Music Education student Oscar Quinn takes colour blocking to the next level with this mint and yellow moment. The layering is so in trend and combined with the chain is and overall just killing it!

Gelsey Beavers-Damron (Fashion Editor)

“Personally, I think we should all be using this time to dress the Rapunzels we are while trapped inside our towers (or dinky student accommodation, whatever floats your boat). Is a fluffy princess ball gown overkill for a Zoom 9am? No, not at all. If anything, we finally have freedom from in-person judgement, so why not have a little fun? And if Legally Blonde taught me anything, it’s that pink always makes a wonderful first impression!”

Connor Howlett (Film Editor)

“Based on the recommendation of a stylish friend, I took advantage of Dublin Vintage Factories lovely selection €5 loose floral shirts. Not only is this one the most comfortable shirt I’ve ever owned (making me want to wear it every single day), but my plants seem to like it too. Out of frame are my muddy jeans and Doc Martens, which complete this look to botanical specification.”

Well, that’s it for now folks! Front Square Fashion will be coming back ASAP Rocky, so keep your gorgeous eyes peeled!
